Residency and Internship

Summer Residency

R.E.D. offers a summer residency free of charge between May 1 and September 15.

All Norwegian and international artists and groups with a project they wish to work on are welcome to apply.

The residency concludes with a public screening/performance/discussion/workshop on the artist’s terms.

The program is available for all artists, regardless of art form.

The residency includes:

  • Studio with a “sprung dance floor”

  • Housing (4 bedrooms, 12 beds) with a kitchen and 2 bathrooms

  • Viewing arena

The viewing arena, R.E.D. ARENA, measures 12 x 20 meters with 8.5 meters under the roof ridge, and features 4 rigging points in the ceiling. The venue is well-suited for working with scenography.

A car is recommended.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 1

Applicants will receive a response within approximately 4 weeks.
