Welcome to R.E.D.
R.E.D. is a regional competence center for dance located in the Inland Region. The center is an arena for the development, production and dissemination of regional, national and international art and culture. R.E.D. cultivates artistic collaborations across borders and expressions, and has a main focus on residency activities, competence development and exchange. The center works actively to reach a broad and diverse audience, with a particular focus on including children, young people and different social groups. R.E.D. is part of the national infrastructure for dance art in Norway.
What's happening
On June 28 at 1:15 PM, we invite children and young people aged 6–25 to an exciting and inspiring workshop in tissu (aerial acrobatics), where you will explore movement, strength and balance hanging from the ceiling in fabric.
You will have the opportunity to learn basic techniques and move elegantly and acrobatically in the air – without any prior experience required!
Ella Fiskum Danz invites you to the world premiere of 7UPERBIA – the first part of an ambitious, two-part hybrid project.
This is a full-length stage performance where music, dance, film and visual art merge into one powerful experience. Through seven acts we explore the seven deadly sins – and their opposites – in a sensual and visual universe that moves, challenges and touches.
More events
R.E.D. offers a free summer residency between May 1 and September 5, and has opened applications for the 2027 residency. All Norwegian and international artists and groups who have a project they want to work on are welcome to apply.
The residency ends with a public screening / performance / discourse / workshop on the artist's terms. The scheme applies to all artists, regardless of art field.
Application deadline: March 15, 2027.
During 2026, R.E.D. will welcome artists from Norway and abroad through our Artist in Residence program. Through residencies, artists in dance, performing arts, music, visual arts, literature and interdisciplinary expressions are given time and space to develop new projects, explore ideas and meet the public.
Several of the residencies end with open work exhibitions, workshops or conversations where the public gets a unique insight into artistic processes in development.

We’re always looking for engaged and positive people who want to contribute as volunteers at R.E.D.
Whether you’d like to help out during the RIFF Festival, be part of the magical atmosphere at the Einawood X-Mas Show, or support other events, there are many exciting tasks you can take part in.
As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to meet new people, learn more about how we work with events – and most importantly: be an essential part of a creative and inclusive community.
